Grove City PoliceWednesday — A thief between Sunday and Wednesday stole a set of white ear buds and $2 in change from a vehicle in the 400 block of West Main Street. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.

State Police, ButlerMonday — Domenic A. Arena, 31, of Pittsburgh was arraigned on charges after he was allegedly caught with drugs at the Butler County Prison.Police first contacted Arena about 12:10 p.m. when they pulled him over for speeding on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. When police ran his criminal history, they found he was wanted on a bench warrant out of Allegheny County.He was taken to the Butler County Prison and turned over to corrections officers.A search turned up a Suboxone strip hidden in his body. Arena allegedly admitted trying to smuggle in the drug, a narcotic medication used to treat opiate addiction. He told authorities his intent was “to prevent getting ‘dope sick’ while he was incarcerated,” according to a police affidavit.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Arena on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance by an inmate and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.He was placed in the county prison on $5,000 bail following arraignment.

State Police, KittanningSaturday — A thief stole three catalytic converters, a car battery, two tires, a tool set and an air gun from a home on Old Reesedale Road in Washington Township. Armstrong County.Police did not identify the suspect in the theft that happened between Dec. 19 and Saturday. While they continue their investigation, police ask that anyone with information about the case to call them at 724-543-2011.

State Police, MercerThursday — Police obtained a felony arrest warrant for Jeanne M. Peoples, 26, of West Liberty Township on charges she forged several checks belonging to her mother that were stolen from the victim’s home on West Valcourt Road in Liberty Township. The theft and forgery happened between Nov. 17 and Dec. 5.Peoples is charged with forgery and theft.
