Driver injured in early morning crash in Clearfield Twp
CLEARFIELD TWP — One person had to be flown this morning from a vehicle crash about a mile from the Armstrong County line.
The one-vehicle crash happened at 3:15 a.m. on Route 422.
The vehicle apparently went off the road and flipped on its side, said Worthington Volunteer Fire Department Chief Randy Bowser. The sole occupant, the vehicle’s female driver, briefly was entrapped.
The driver, who was not identified, was taken by medical helicopter to an unknown hospital. Bowser could not describe the extent of the woman’s injuries.
In addition to Worthington, firefighters from East Butler, East Franklin and Applewold responded as did the state police.
Emergency crews cleared the scene at 3:50 a.m.
