Moderate 5.3 quake rattles Afghanistan
KABUL, Afghanistan — A moderate 5.3-magnitude earthquake in northern Afghanistan was felt in the capital, Kabul, and across the border in Pakistan, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the epicenter was in the sparsely populated Hindu Kush region.
