Butler Twp. Police3:41 p.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Cindy Hooks, 61, of Grove City struck the back of a vehicle driven by Randall Reamer, 33, of Sarver on North Main Street near the Wonder Wash.Police said Reamer was stopping for traffic when his vehicle was rear-ended.Hooks’ vehicle sustained major front end damage and she was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.5:30 p.m. Tuesday — A bicyclist suffered a broken ankle after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Whitestown Road and Hansen Avenue.Police said John D’Amore, 56, of Butler was riding his bike southbound on Hansen Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Bryan Brinkley of Butler, who was attempting to turn onto Whitestown Road.D’Amore broke his ankle and had minor cuts and bruises, police said. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.Brinkley was cited for a turning violation.10:17 p.m. Dec. 6 — James R. Ross Jr., 51, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspected DUI and driving with a suspended license after he backed his vehicle into a ditch along East Boundary Street.Police said Ross was attempting to turn his vehicle around at the intersection of Linhurst Avenue.
State Police, Butler1:40 p.m. Friday — An unknown suspect burglarized two apartments in a Mercer Township apartment complex and fled after being seen breaking into a third.Police said the suspect used a blunt object to break into the back window of a 45-year-old tenant’s apartment at Briarhill Apartments, 609 Grove City Road. The victim was not home at the time and the suspect stole about $50 in cash.A 37-year-old resident of the complex reported someone entered her apartment and stole a small amount of cash and gift cards.The suspect then attempted to break into the apartment of a 25-year-old resident of the complex. That resident was home at the time and heard the burglar attempting to break in through the back door. The unknown suspect fled toward Glacial Till Road.Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-284-8100.11:55 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Sandra D. Woolfork, 53, of Elyria, Ohio, struck a concrete barrier at the on ramp to Interstate 79 from Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.Police said a medical issue may have caused the accident. Woolfork was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
