Butler Twp PoliceWednesday — An arrest warrant was issued for Timothy M. Galina Jr. 24, of Oil City after Galina allegedly stole a semi-automatic rifle from Dunham’s Sports in Moraine Pointe Plaza while he was an employee there. Police said the theft occurred Nov. 27. Galina allegedly stole a Smith & Wesson M&P 15, valued at $1,099.10:15 p.m. Tuesday — Michael Daugherty, 49, of Lyndora was charged with two counts of simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute at a home on the 100 block of Bessemer Avenue.
State Police, ButlerWednesday — Edward Cypher, 82, of Donegal Township reported someone stole Christmas decorations from his yard on Danville Road. The decorations are valued at $80.
State Police, MercerWednesday — Haley Brock, 20, of Sandy Lake was charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing items from Walmart in Pine Township.8 p.m. Tuesday — Lori J. Tennant, 50, of New Castle reported someone stole her wallet from her purse while it was left unattended in the back of the Harry & David store in the Grove City Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. The suspects then used her credit card at various locations.5:44 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Majed Marogy, 42, of Warren, Mich., pulled in front of an SUV driven by Angela C. Taylor, 34, of Mercer on Route 208 in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Police said Marogy was pulling out of a parking lot onto Route 208 and did not yield to Taylor’s vehicle. He was cited for a turning violation.
State Police, Clarion7 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by a 16-year-old New Bethlehem boy struck an embankment along Route 861 in Madison Township, Clarion County, after he lost control of his vehicle. The boy was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
State Police, Franklin9:16 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Timothy E. Lentz, 36, of Slippery Rock struck a tree along Route 8 in Irwin Township, Venango County.Lentz was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
