Museum has holiday hoursPITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Children’s Museum will have extended hours over the holidays.The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Dec. 31.Countdown to Noon activities will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 31.Museum admission is $13 for children ages 2 to 18 and senior citizens and $14 for adults; children younger than 2 are admitted free.More information about the museum at 10 Children’s Way is available by calling 412-322-5058 or visiting pittsburghkids.org.
History Center extends exhibitPITTSBURGH — The Senator John Heinz History Center has extended the “We Can Do It!” World War II exhibit through Jan. 10.The display, which explores Western Pennsylvania’s impact on the home, industrial and battle fronts during World War II, includes information about the jeep produced by the American Bantam Car Co. in Butler.The History Center will offer extended hours until 8 p.m. from Monday to Wednesday and Jan. 4 to 10.Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for senior citizens age 62 and older, $6.50 for students and children ages 6 to 17, and free for children age 5 and younger.More information about the center at 1212 Smallman St. is available at heinzhistorycenter.org.
