Man charged with shooting at Jeep at church

NORTH BUFFALO TWP, Armstrong County — A township man allegedly shot at an occupied Jeep Wrangler parked outside a church early Tuesday morning following a domestic dispute.

Anthony Parrotta, 23, is facing aggravated assault charges after he allegedly fired three shots at the Jeep in the Union Baptist Church parking lot about 4:40 a.m., hitting the vehicle twice. No one was injured, state police said.

Parrotta was in a domestic dispute with a 25-year-old woman earlier that morning at their home in the township, police said. The woman suffered a minor cut on her face during the incident and left the home.

The woman’s brother, Blake Crissman, 23, of Kittanning, later went to meet Parrotta in the parking lot of the church on the 400-block of Church Road.

When Parrotta arrived, he allegedly fired three shots from a large caliber pistol at Crissman’s vehicle.

Parrotta was arrested later that morning at his home, police said. He was taken to the Armstrong County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Parrotta is charged with aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license, shooting at an occupied vehicle, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief.
