CAMARILLO, Calif. — The price of gasoline nationwide keeps dropping.

Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday that the average price of regular gas fell 4 cents in the past two weeks, to $2.06 per gallon. That’s the lowest since April 2009. Lundberg said the drop is due to another nosedive in the cost of crude oil and that prices may continue to fall.

For other types of gas, the average cost of midgrade is $2.35 per gallon. Premium averages $2.55.

In California, where prices are highest, a gallon of regular averages $2.61, with midgrade costing $2.74 and premium at $2.83.

In the lower 48 states, the highest average price of regular gasoline is in Los Angeles, at $2.71, while Tulsa, Okla., has the lowest, at $1.72.

[naviga:h3]Truck driver wants charges dropped[/naviga:h3]

NEWARK, N.J. — The truck driver who slammed into a limo carrying Tracy Morgan, killing one man and severely injuring the comedian, will ask a judge to throw out criminal charges against him.

Kevin Roper was driving a Wal-Mart truck in June 2014 when he crashed into Morgan’s limo van. The former “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live” star suffered brain trauma, broken ribs and a broken leg, and his friend James McNair was killed. Two other passengers also suffered serious injuries.

Within days, Roper was charged in state court with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto, though as of Friday he hadn’t been indicted, said his attorney, David Glassman.

Glassman told The Associated Press he will ask a judge in Middlesex County to dismiss the case because Roper is unable to get a fair trial because of negative publicity surrounding Morgan’s federal lawsuit against Wal-Mart.
