Buler graduate Julia Baxter scored 33 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked six shots to help the Butler County Community College women’s basketball team beat Mercyhurst Northeast 71-56 Monday night.

That improved the Pioneers record to 4-2. Christina Davis also scored 23 points for BC3, while Tiffany Montgomery had 14. Alycia Brehm (seven) and Kailyn Callihan (five) led the Pioneers in assists.

Men’s basketball

The Pioneers fell to 0-5 after losing to Mercyhurst Northeast 93-67. Austin Miller led BC3 with 33 points, while Ken Snead (18) and Markel Pierce (11)each finished in double figures.

Miller, who is a Knoch graduate, also handed out six assists.
