Time Capsule

SCENE AT DAWN — Smoke billows from the Alhambra Hotel at dawn Nov. 17, 1975, as 34 city firefighters pour water on the 65-year-old building at the corner of Cunningham and Pillow streets. Robert Walker, 60, was found dead in bed of smoke inhalation on the second floor, according to Butler County Coroner William F. Young Jr. Two other hotel guests were admitted to Butler County Memorial Hospital, while five others were treated and later released.
