A 57-year-old woman was hurt Monday afternoon when she fell off a horse in the 200 block of Reibold Road in Jackson Township, authorities said.

Emergency officials did not release the name of the woman who was taken by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital. Her injuries were not considered serious.

Authorities reported the woman fell approximately 4 feet and struck her head about 12:20 p.m. She apparently never lost consciousness.

The Evans City Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
