Seneca Valley teacher wins REAL Award
JACKSON TWP — Traci Kuntz, a Seneca Valley Middle School science teacher, recently was recognized as a winner in the Seneca Valley Diversity Committee's biannual Respect, Education, Advocacy and Love (REAL) Award Program.
For six years, she has worked with Peace Corps volunteers to bring valuable cultural experiences to her students. The experiences include shared videos and personal pen-pal letters between schools.
Kuntz ties culture to the science curriculum, but more importantly, she helps open young minds and leads students toward valuing the diversity in people. This is the mission of the Seneca Valley Diversity Committee.
