BUTLER TWP — Jim Cunningham, a certified fundraising executive, has been appointed director of development for the Community Health Clinic of Butler County, according to David Konesni, board president.

“Jim has a history with the clinic. He helped by contributing the feasibility study,” Konesni said. “But most importantly, Jim has a successful track record in development.”

Cunningham has provided development services for the Visiting Nurses Association, Ketchum, North Hills Passavant Hospital and the Society of Automotive Engineers, among many others.

He is a past president of the Golden Tornado Foundation, for which he established an annual giving program, and is a past vice chairman of the Lutheran Affiliated Services board, establishing that organization’s capital campaign.

In 2005 Cunningham was named Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year by the Western Pennsylvania Association of Fundraising Executives.

For 22 years he has been an independent fundraising consultant and senior associate for the firm of Gronlund Gunther and Sayther.

The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton hosted a bank-wide Pink Out Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. More than $700 was raised among its 15 offices. That money will be donated to the Kirtland Cancer Foundation in Franklin and to A Glimmer of Hope Foundation — Symbol of the Cure in Wexford.
