Manflown to hospital after being struck by vehicle
SUMMIT TWP — An 18-year-old man was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital Friday evening after being hit by a vehicle along East Butler Road.
The accident occurred about 6:30 p.m. in the 600-block of the road.
The man was conscious when the call was made to 911, according to dispatch reports. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital before being flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh.
The Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. Crews returned to service by 7:30 p.m.
State police did not have a report available Saturday morning.
Spokesmen for the fire department were unavailable for further details.
