CHICORA — Borough council’s top three vote earners were separated by just four votes in Tuesday’s election.

Incumbent Daryl Craig, James Turner and Jim Fallecker were each elected to four-year terms on the five-member board, according to unofficial county results.

Turner, a Republican, tied for the lead with Craig, a Democrat, each with 122 tallies.

Turner has been serving as an appointed position following the death of another council member earlier this year.

“My plan is to support council in keeping Chicora a nice place to live,” Turner said.

Fallecker, a Republican, tallied 118 votes.

Neither Craig nor Fallecker could be reached for comment Tuesday night.

Democrat Kenneth Ace also was on the ballot and finished in fourth with 64 votes. There were three write-ins.
