Officials seek teen who cut off his monitoring device
BUTLER TWP — The search continues for a runaway teenager who left his Lyndora home Tuesday night after cutting off his electronic monitoring device, authorities said.
The boy, 15-year-old Dillon Wheeler, took off about 8 p.m. after removing the juvenile court-ordered monitoring bracelet. The teen fled after an argument with his father, township police said.
The parents apparently notified authorities after they found their son gone and his discarded home monitoring device.
Police said officers searched some of the boy’s hangouts and examined social media sites but could not find him.
He is described as white, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 135 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. The teen was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweat shirt.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police at 285-9600, or 911.
