Third-seeded Butler County Community College defeated No. 2 seed Montgomery-Rockville Saturday to win the NJCAA Region XX women's volleyball championship.

The Pioneers won the match 25-16, 25-20, 25-13. Alexis Shrecengost had 12 kills and 11 digs, Macy Smolic 10 kills and Lexie Graham 27 assists.

BC3 ended its season at 23-5 Sunday with a district playoff loss to Lorain County Community College. The Pioneers lost the match 25-13, 25-14, 25-17.

Making the all-tournament team for the Pioneers were Smolioc, Shrecengost and Baylee Verner.
