Outpatient PT director namedJEFFERSON TWP — Michael Dunham is the new director of outpatient physical therapy at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, according to Dr. Nick Reiser, corporate director of rehabilitation services.In this role, Dunham will direct outpatient physical therapy offered at Concordia at Cabot.He has worked at Medical Rehab Services and WESTARM Therapy Services, including as facility director and center coordinator of clinical education.Dunham of Pittsburgh, a licensed physical therapist, attended West Virginia University for his undergraduate education and the Graduate School of Physical Therapy at Slippery Rock University to become a doctor of physical therapy.
Group opens office to aid foster parentsThe Bair Foundation, a national Christian child and family ministry, has opened an office in Butler at 222 W. Cunningham St.The Butler area has been served in the past by the Bair New Wilmington office.Bair offers services for foster care where children and teens can live in a family environment until permanency can be achieved.The Bair Foundation offers case management and the training and support of foster parents.Bair has been in Western Pennsylvania since 1967. It has 35 offices in 9 states.
County native gets leadership awardPITTSBURGH — George Pry, a Butler County native and executive vice president of the Pittsburgh Technical Institute, is the recipient of a leadership award from the Pennsylvania Diversity Council.The award was presented Oct. 22 at the 6th Annual Pittsburgh Leadership Conference.The event is designed to recognize and empower multiculturalism and leadership throughout Pennsylvania.With more than 38 years in higher education leadership, Pry at PTI oversees several services including education, career, building, academic support, and financial aid.Before PTI, Pry was president of The Art Institutes of Seattle, Houston and Pittsburgh, where he began his career in 1977.He lives in Whitehall and is a native of West Sunbury.Bottom linen EMLENTON — Farmers National Bank of Emlenton recently donated $2,500 to the Knox Volunteer Fire Company.This donation will help the company with the costs incurred while completing building updates at its fire station at 514 E. Railroad St., Knox, Clarion County.
