Butler Twp Police9:16 p.m. Sunday — Police said the driver of a four-door Pontiac lost control on Old Plank Road in front of the South Butler Volunteer Fire Department and destroyed a planter before hitting a cement block and a handicapped parking sign. Police said the motorist fled the scene and was last seen driving north on Old Plank Road.7:21 p.m. Oct. 23 — Police said Cory Crider, 32, of Butler was driving west on New Castle Road when his Hyundai Tuscon rear-ended a Jeep Cherokee driven by Kellie Nawrocki, 36, of Butler, pushing it into a Dodge Durango driven by Melissa Rankin, 36, of Butler. Police said no one was injured and the crash occurred after Crider became distracted.6:44 p.m. Oct. 23 — Police said a Hyundai Sonata driven by Hirschy Kirkwood, 18, of Evans City, rear-ended a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Mellssa Phillips, 37, of Butler on Whitestown Road in front of the Lyndora Post Office. Police said no one was injured.11:30 a.m. Oct. 22 — Police arrested Cammeron Dent, 25, of West Virginia for theft, resisting arrest, and drug offenses after he attempted to steal a tire from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn at 610 Butler Crossing, and was later caught by police after attempting to run away. Police said an officer found drugs and drug paraphernalia in Dent’s possession, and he was placed in Butler County Prison.3:11 p.m. Oct. 21 — Police charged a 14-year-old juvenile with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after officers were dispatched to Butler Intermediate High School for a report of a fight.
State Police, Butler8:40 p.m. Monday — A Chevrolet Tracker driven by Daniel J. Wilson, 21, of Chicora struck a tree along Oneida Valley Road in Oakland Township.Police said the vehicle left the road and went down an embankment before striking the tree head on.Wilson was cited for a traffic lane violation.8:40 a.m. Monday — A car driven by John D. Boozel II, 48, of Butler struck a deer along Route 8 in Middlesex Township.
State Police, Mercer6 a.m. Monday — John Hicks, 52, reported someone stole several items from his vehicle that was parked on Tieline Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.
