Sandusky to appear at hearing
BELLEFONTE — A judge has signed an order directing a former Penn State assistant football coach be brought to court for an appeal hearing in Centre County.
Jerry Sandusky is serving 30 to 60 years in a state prison in Greene County for his 2012 conviction on more than 40 child-sex abuse charges.
He’s appealing claiming his trial attorney was ineffective. A judge signed an order directing Sandusky be moved from the state prison to Bellefonte for the Oct. 29 hearing on his post-conviction relief act motion. The attorney general’s office has filed a response calling the appeal “baseless.”
