PITTSBURGH — Authorities say a Pittsburgh police officer fired at a car that refused to stop after striking vehicles in the Pittsburgh Zoo parking lot, but no one was injured.

Public safety spokesman Sonya Toler said officers were called to the Pittsburgh Zoo parking lot just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, where the driver almost hit several officers and fled before she was stopped nearby. Toler says one officer fired as the car was heading toward him, but the driver wasn’t hit.

Brittany Alcorn, 22, of Greensburg is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding.
