Butler Twp Police3:30 p.m. Thursday — John Bayer, 60, of Butler was charged with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly hit a 15-year-old girl during a family related domestic dispute.He was taken to Butler County Prison.
State Police, Kittanning1:59 a.m. Saturday — A 30-year-old man was arrested for suspected driving under the influence on Butler Road in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County. Police did not name the man. Charges are pending.5:05 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Jennifer J. Lingg, 22, of Wexford struck the back of a car driven by Carol A. Huth, 58, of Leechburg on the southbound off -ramp of South Pike Road in Buffalo Township.Police said Huth was stopped for traffic on the off -ramp. She suffered minor injuries.Lingg was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.3:57 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Cody S. Vaughan, 25, of Saxonburg struck the back of a car driven by Christina M. Kapinskis, 34, of Freeport on the Exit 16 ramp of Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.Police said Vaughan was driving in the left lane of Route 28 when he quickly crossed through the right lane and into the exit ramp, where Kapinskis was stopped for traffic.Vaughan’s car struck the back of Kapinskis’ vehicle before he swerved back across Route 28’s lanes and hit the center median.Police said Vaughan showed signs of impairment and consented to a blood test. He was charged with following too closely. Additional charges are pending the blood test results.
State Police, Mercer4:30 a.m. Sept. 25 — Unknown suspects slashed the driver side tires of a car owned by Austin K. King, 19, of Grove City at a home on Mercer Grove City Road in Findley Township, Mercer County.
State Police, Franklin9:17 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Megan R. Ambrose, 30, of Butler struck a deer along Route 8 in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.The collision caused disabling damage to the car.
