Police: Adults were drunk in ATV crash

CONNELLSVILLE — Police say a toddler in southwestern Pennsylvania was thrown from an all-terrain vehicle that two adults were driving drunk.

State police say the 18-month-old boy was flown to the hospital as a precaution.

Authorities say they were called to a parking lot in Dunbar Township, Fayette County, on Thursday and found 24-year-old Eric Ritenour and 25-year-old Krystal Hall riding on the ATV with the boy.

Police say the pair fled into a field and hit a ditch. They were ejected along with the toddler.

The adults were charged with child endangerment, aggravated assault, drunken driving and other offenses.

They were taken to jail on $75,000 bail.
