Atwood, Lipke
Carlie Louise Atwood of Slippery Rock and Cpl. Scott John Lipke Jr. of Havelock, N.C., were united in marriage March 18, 2014, in New Bern, N.C., and renewed their vows on June 7 at the White Barn in Prospect. The Rev. James D. Thompson officiated. A reception followed at the White Barn.
The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Jamie Atwood of Slippery Rock. Parents of the bridegroom are Scott and Beverly Lipke of Prospect and Jennifer Brown of Butler.
The honor attendant was Andi Atwood of Slippery Rock. Bridesmaids included Kara Lipke of Prospect, Angel Burgess of Henderson, Nev., Cory Kirk of Slippery Rock and Kylie Twiest of Slippery Rock.
Junior bridesmaids were Megan Smith of Slippery Rock and Shyan Grossman of West Sunbury.
The flower girl was Lilly Brierly of Slippery Rock.
Performing the duties of best man was William “Buddy” Kriess of Slippery Rock. Ushers included Brian Fasten of Prospect, Andrew Ellis of Havelock, Mark Rice of Havelock and A.J. Renshaw of Harrisville.
Ring security was provided by Drystan McClymonds, Adam Brierly and Ayden Dietrich.
The ring bearer was Carter Smith of Slippery Rock.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2014 graduate of Slippery Rock University.
The bridegroom graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 2011.
He serves in the U.S. Marine Corps in Havelock.
The couple is spending a three-year honeymoon in Iwakuni, Japan, where they are making their home.
