CRANBERRY TWP — Early Years Child Care Centers is opening a new child care center in the Freedom/Cranberry Township area this fall.
The new center at 1310 Freedom — Crider Road will open in October and is accepting enrollments. The 3,300-square-foot, two-story building will be larger than any of the four other centers that the Bergdahl family owns.
The new center has two outdoor playgrounds along with a garden and nature trail planned for the spring.
Early Years offers child care services for children ages 6 weeks through 8 years old. A before-and-after-school program also is offered.
All Early Years centers follow the accredited Keystone STARS academic curriculum and are licensed by the state Department of Public Welfare.
There will be an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 26.

Chrysler is recalling more than 1.5 million trucks to fix problems with side-impact and driver's air bags.The biggest of two recalls announced Thursday covers 1.35 million Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks and 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs, mainly in North America. All are from 2012 through 2014.The company says it knows of two injuries caused by the problem but no crashes. It says an analysis of warranty data found that less than 1 percent of trucks repaired for the problem had air bags that inflated without a crash.
