BC3 loosing 3 top administrators

BUTLER TWP — Three top administrators have or are leaving Butler County Community College.

• Francie Spigelmyer, vice president of academic affairs, left effective July 1. She had been in her position since 2008.

• Rosemary Keasey, dean of business, also left July 1. Keasey had been dean since 2005.

• Susan Changnon, director of communications, will retire effective Aug. 31. Changnon has been working at the college since 1998.

• Bruce Russell will be taking over Spigelmyer's position over the next 18 months as interim vice president for academic affairs. He will serve through December 2016, overseeing the college's Middle States accreditation process.

Russell is dean emeritus of the College of Business, Information and Social Sciences at Slippery Rock University, where he served as dean from 2002 to 2010.

A search for a permanent replacement will begin after the accreditation is reviewed.

• Ann McCandless, dean of technology, will become interim dean of business through June 2016. She will hold both positions during that time.

• Changnon's replacement is expected in an announcement this week.
