A&H prepares to move

New Cranberry building planned

CRANBERRY TWP — A longtime Pittsburgh-based heavy equipment company is relocating to the township.

A&H Equipment plans to build a building on Marshall Road for its heavy equipment sales, rental and service.

According to the company’s website, the company sells products such as street sweepers, sewer cleaners, EnviroSight inspection equipment, snow removal trucks and its own dump truck bodies.

Tripp Amick, owner and president of the company, said, “This will be our new headquarters office and service, repair and parts location.

The equipment distribution company based in Bridgeville, Allegheny County, has been doing business for 52 years.

The township supervisors on Thursday granted final land development and conditional use approval for a 27,425-square-foot facility.

One building on the site will be kept but three other structures, which includes a two-story house, will be demolished, said Ron Henshaw, township director of community development. The remaining structure will be incorporated into the new building.

The company also agreed to pay a $20,000 traffic impact fee for expected increased traffic at the intersection of Marshall Road and Rowan Road.
