Telehealth education vehicle visits Butler VA

BUTLER TWP — A specially equipped vehicle will be available for tours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 30 at VA Butler Healthcare, providing a look at telehealth services.

Telehealth Education Delivered is a vehicle equipped with technologies that enable facilities to provide education and training on telehealth and patient care solutions. Iron Bow Technologies is bringing the vehicle to VA Butler Healthcare to show how telehealth can extend health care access, enhance patient care and promote cooperation among health care providers and patients.

Telehealth at VA Butler helps ensure veterans get the right care in the right place at the right time, and it aims to make their home into the preferred place of care when possible. VA Butler provides three types of Telehealth: Store-and-Forward Telehealth, Home Telehealth, and Clinical Video Telehealth.

The vehicle will be parked for tours outside the primary care entrance, 325 New Castle Road.
