WEXFORD — Federal investigators and police are asking the public for help in finding a man who robbed a northern Allegheny County bank last month.

The FBI Pittsburgh Division and the Northern Regional Police said an unidentified white male robbed the First National Bank at 202 Devine Dr. about 4:15 p.m. June 30.

The man was given cash after he handed a note demanding money and a green bag to a teller. He ran out of the lobby, exited through the main door and was last seen fleeing along the west side of the bank. No vehicle was seen.

The robber is described as a white male with a thin build, between five feet 10 inches tall and six feet, and possibly having a tribal tattoo on his neck

Anyone with information should contact the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office, 24 hours a day, at 412-432-4000. Tipsters may remain anonymous.

[naviga:h3]Hit-and-run driver, vehicle sought[/naviga:h3]

BUTLER TWP — Township police are looking for a man involved in a hit-and-run crash last week.

Police said the man’s green Pontiac Grand Prix sideswiped a vehicle driven by Marie Campbell, 66, of Butler on July 9 on Route 8 north of the city.

The man’s car then struck a curb, flattening both left side tires. He fled and was last seen driving west on Route 422.

Police are attempting to locate the vehicle, which they believe may be in the Prospect area.
