Butler Twp. Police3:31 p.m. July 2 — Gerard Slupe, 46, of Fenelton was charged with theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole a radar detector from a vehicle parked at the Sheetz on New Castle Road.6:39 p.m. June 27 — Kayla Ward, 26, of Prospect was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after she allegedly attempted to steal $100 worth of items from Walmart in Butler Commons.

State Police, Butler8:10 p.m. Friday — Tyler Sutton, 24, of Petrolia was charged with DUI following a traffic stop on Hooker Road in Fairview Township.7:22 a.m. Friday — James C. Lemasters, 43, of Valencia was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with back injuries after he crashed his motorcycle on Route 308 in Cherry Valley.Police said Lemasters was driving north on the two-lane road when he used the southbound lane to pass traffic. Lemasters lost control of his bike when he returned to the northbound lane. He drove off the road and into the grass for about 300 feet before he re-entered the lane and crashed.He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.12:27 a.m. July 4 — James J. Gautreau, 42, of Butler was arrested for suspected DUI after police pulled him over for riding a homemade minibike on Route 422 in Franklin Township.Police said the bike had multiple equipment violations and that it was apparent Gautreau had been drinking alcohol.Gautreau refused a blood test. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on another bench warrant.

State Police, MercerNoon Thursday — A car driven by Elicia P. Cutchall, 23, of New Castle crossed the center line on Airport Road in Pine Township, Mercer County, and struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Dean E. Kostelansky, 60, of Grove City.Cutchall was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

Grove City PoliceFriday — Brandon B. Wrona, 19, of Pulaski was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He also was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Passenger Lydia A. Booher, 18, of Pulaski also was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
