Butler Police2:55 p.m. Wednesday — No one was hurt following a head-on crash on Center Avenue.Police said a vehicle driven by Kasey M. Snyder, 27, of Butler was stopped for traffic near Brown Avenue. The stopped car in front of her was allowing a vehicle driven by Robert E. Ecklund, 75, of Butler to turn left out of the intersection with Brown Avenue, police said.Snyder attempted to drive around the stopped vehicle and crashed into Ecklund’s oncoming vehicle.She was charged with overtaking a vehicle on the left and careless driving.

Butler Twp. Police3:02 p.m. Wednesday — Julie Lascuola, 32, of Butler was charged with felony retail theft and corruption of minors after she allegedly stole $72 worth of merchandise from Walmart at Butler Commons. Lascuola was accompanied by her 11-year-old child during the incident, police said.

State Police, Butler11:46 p.m. Sunday — Joel Pezze, 20, of Slippery Rock was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly caused more than $100 worth of damage to a Cobblestone Lane apartment in Slippery Rock.June 30 — William J. Lucas of Connoquenessing Township reported to police that unknown suspects broke into his trailer on Connoquenessing Drive and stole $350 worth of items.April 13 — An unknown suspect attempted to break into a trailer on the 100-block of Allen Lane in Slippery Rock Township by kicking the door and prying the door handle.Total damage was valued at $200.

State Police, Mercer1:18 a.m. June 27 — William A. Christman, 42, of Ashton suffered moderate injuries after he lost control of his tractor-trailer along Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.Police said Christman’s rig crashed into several bushes before striking a large tree. He was cited for a traffic lane violation.
