Butler PoliceWednesday — Police filed misdemeanor drug charges against Michael A. Demko, 35, of Worth Township and Taylor L. Davidson, 21, of Center Township after they were found last week on Pillow Street in a parked vehicle with suspected contraband.Officers were called about 12:20 p.m. July 2 for a report of several people huffing aerosol in a car. Police found Demko, Davidson and two others in the vehicle.A search of Demko allegedly turned up 16 stamp bags and four empty bags of suspected heroin. He also had a syringe and spoon.Police said Davidson was found with two used syringes and two spoons.Demko is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Davidson is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.11:13 p.m. Tuesday — Timothy A. Clark, 48, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife, 46-year-old Anne-Marie Crawford, during a domestic dispute at their home on St. Paul Street.Clark is caused of throwing Crawford around, slapping her face and hitting her arms and legs. She suffered minor injuries.Clark was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.Monday — An arrest warrant was issued for John D. Summerville, 40, of Butler stemming from a weekend domestic dispute at his girlfriend’s apartment in the 200 block of North Main Street.Summerville is accused of grabbing Amy A. Blakely by the hair and repeatedly pushing her head into the refrigerator about 6 a.m. Saturday. He also threw a full pot of hot coffee at her. She suffered minor injuries.Summerville is charged with simple assault.

Butler Twp PoliceTuesday — Police charged David A. Cerminara, 51, and Kelly A. Cerminara, 45, both of Butler, with teaming up July 1 to shoplift merchandise at the Butler Commons Walmart. The pair went into the store about 11:30 p.m. and allegedly took $46 in items.Both suspects are charged with retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft.

State Police, Butler2:22 p.m. Wednesday — At least two boys escaped from the Summit Academy reform school on Herman Road in Summit Township. The youths were found about two hours later on Herman Road. A police report did not say if they were returned to the facility.1:42 p.m. Wednesday — Patricia L. English, 53, of Butler lost control of her car and struck a ditch and mailbox along North Duffy Road just west of Harley Lane in Center Township. Police cited English for disregarding traffic lanes.10 p.m. Tuesday — A vandal threw a rock through the front window of a man’s house on Still Water Lane in Slippery Rock Township. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects.Tuesday — Someone tried to break into the Jiffy Mini Mart on Route 8 in Center Township. The attempted burglary happened between 12:01 and 8 a.m.Tuesday — Police charged William E. Young, 67, with two counts of open lewdness stemming from separate incidents last month at his home in the 2600 block of Old Route 422 east in Clearfield Township.Young is accused of opening his window blinds, taking off his pants and exposing himself to a 21-year-old woman who was in her yard on June 25 and 26.6:55 p.m. Monday — A Clinton County woman was hurt in a one-vehicle wreck on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Meredith L. Batterson, 34, of Mill Hall, a passenger who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.The crash happened when Bradley J. Batterson, 33, of Mill Hall, lost control of his pickup truck on the highway wet from rain, traveled into the median and struck an embankment. Police cited him for driving too fast for conditions.Monday — A burglar made off with two guns — a revolver and a shotgun — from a man’s home in the 200 block of Old East Butler Road in Oakland Township. The guns, valued at $600, were taken between 9 a.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Monday.July 1 — Matthew K. Wiles, 22, of Chicora was arraigned on charges stemming from the June 20 burglary at a relative’s home in Donegal Township. Wiles allegedly broke into 64-year-old Walter Wiles’ garage on East Slippery Rock Street and stole a dirt bike.Police said he later sold the bike to a 22-year-old Butler area man who was unaware it was stolen. Troopers eventually recovered the vehicle, which was returned to its owner.Matthew Wiles is charged with burglary, trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, theft by deception and criminal mischief. He is in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.

State Police, MercerWednesday — A thief stole about $75 worth of coin change from a home on North Liberty Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.4:37 p.m. Tuesday — An Arizona man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at another man in an apparent case of road rage on Interstate 80 in Pine Township, Mercer County.Police said the altercation unfolded after the suspect, Clifford A. Reph Jr., 61, of Buckeye, got angry after being cut off by a tractor-trailer. He subsequently pulled alongside the rig and pointed a gun at the driver, a 61-year-old Montgomery County man. No one was injured.Reph was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats and reckless endangerment, and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bail.11:35 p.m. June 29 — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle collision at Route 208 and Veterans Road in Springfield Township. The crash happened when a car driven by Jesse D. Clark. 30, of West Middlesex struck the side of another car driven by Mandy S. Brua, 35, of New Wilmington.Brua, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said Clark was cited for improperly entering a road from a private driveway.
