Jill Greenwood

GIBSONIA — Jill Greenwood has joined St. Barnabas Health System as a communications specialist.

She has a background in journalism, media relations and public relations. She most recently worked with the University of Pittsburgh, and with Just Ducky Tours and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Greenwood earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Kent State University and has volunteered at the Sarah Heinz House Boys & Girls Club, the Mexican War Streets Society and Assumption Catholic School in Bellevue.

She lives Pittsburgh with her daughter.

A paint studio that encourages participants to bring their own wine is expected to open in July on Main Street.Dorothy Calvert of Center Township said she hopes to open Brushes and Barstools, 209 S. Main St., on Wednesday. The paint studio will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays.Calvert said participants can sign up for two-hour sessions on the studio's website, www.brushesandbarstools.com.Sessions are expected to run from 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, while Saturday will have more flexible hours.Patrons can bring their own wine to drink while they paint.Calvert said she and her husband, Lance Calvert, have been preparing for the studio for six months. They redid the interior of the shop and are nearing completion.The couple recently returned to Butler County after spending five years in the military.“We thought it would be good entertainment downtown,” she said of the studio.

- Benjamin Mulig has joined the 84 Lumber Co. as a manager trainee at the company's Mars store, 109 Fey Lane. Mulig is a native of Shaler Township and is a 2015 graduate of California (Pa.) University.
