He was good role model
Regina Greenwald of Slippery Rock said her father was active in politics throughout his life and taught her how to see both sides of an argument.
“You need to see many sides to all issues. Generally there isn’t just one answer to a question,” she said.
Greenwald’s father, Thomas George, was a longtime jury commissioner in Lawrence County and was active in local politics. He even attended the inauguration of President John F. Kennedy in 1961.
Greenwald said she learned from her father sometimes just by watching how he conducted himself.
“I think I learned from a lot of watching him work with people and talk to people over the years,” she said.
“He would listen to people and hear what they had to say.”
As Slippery Rock borough council president, Greenwald said she hopes she is putting his lessons to use.
