Butler Police3:26 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Donald J. Vinkovich II, 50, of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, and Lawrence R. McRae, 52, of Banning, Calif., collided on East Penn Street.12:48 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Jason J. Self, 48, of Butler and Cynthia Bryan, 61, of Zelienople collided on Shore Street.Butler Twp Police12:18 a.m. Monday — Jason Noullet, 40, of Altoona, Blair County, faces a misdemeanor drug charge after suffering an apparent heroin overdose at a room in the Super 8 motel on Route 8 south. Officers found Noullet along with an empty stamp bag of suspected heroin and hypodermic needle. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.7:17 p.m. Friday — Brice Fox, 43, of Carnegie, Allegheny County, was arrested after police got a call for a man slumped over at the bus stop on Alameda Road. When officers got there, they found Fox sleeping on the pavement. Police believe he was intoxicated. A search later turned up suspected marijuana. Fox is charged with public drunkenness and possession of a small amount of marijuana.2:25 a.m. Friday — Six boys, ages 14 and 15, allegedly threw eggs at vehicles while causing a disturbance in neighborhoods on Center Avenue and Oakvale Boulevard. Police cited the youths for disorderly conduct.7:09 p.m. May 29 — Joseph Swick, 59, of Cowansville, Armstrong County, was caught on video surveillance allegedly shoplifting merchandise at the Walmart at Butler Commons. Swick is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.10:22 p.m. May 27 — Brian M. Buerkle, 22, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle crashed into a retaining wall at a home on Old Plank Road. In addition to DUI, police cited Buerkle for driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.State Police, Butler9:50 p.m. Monday — Zachary Reott, 22, of Butler suffered an apparent heroin overdose at a home on the 600 block of Mushrush Road in Jefferson Township. Troopers found the suspect with two syringes, a spoon and four bags of suspected heroin stamped with the name “Dracula.” Police said Reott faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.7:05 a.m. Monday — Michael J. McCandless, 30, of Prospect lost control of his car and crashed in an embankment after another vehicle pulled in front of him at Mahood and Jamisonville roads in Center Township. The unknown driver of the other vehicle did not stop after the wreck.1:20 a.m. Sunday — A teenager escaped from Summit Academy reform school on Herman Road in Summit Township. Police did not identify the boy, who is black and was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue shorts and white shoes.Saturday — A 28-year-old man reported that someone broke into his mobile home on Walheim Road in Venango Township and stole his OxyContin medication and money. The break-in and theft happened between 10 p.m. Friday and 12:20 a.m. Saturday.State Police, Mercer11 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Santos R. Rosales, 25, of Frederick, Md., crashed and rolled into an embankment on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township, Mercer County. Rosales was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.Saturday — A thief stole a Nexus tablet from a Canadian woman's room at the Super 8 motel on Route 208 in Springfield Township. The theft happened between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.June 3 — A $30,000 tractor equipped with a front end loader was stolen from Lamb & Webster Inc. on Route 173 at Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. The 2015 Kioti series NX4510 was taken between June 1 and 3.
