SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Two Mars High School graduates recently completed basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

They are U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Errict M. Haas and U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jonathan Huber.

They completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Haas is the son of Eric Haas of Valencia. He is a 2014 graduate of Mars.

Huber is the son of Karen and Thomas Huber of Valencia.

He graduated in 2005 from Mars, and he earned an associate degree in 2007 from the ITT-Technical Institute in Pittsburgh.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
