Organization honors consultant
GROVE CITY — Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV (MIU IV) honored Marilyn Goodrich of Grove City with its annual Annie Sullivan Award.
Goodrich has served as an educational consultant for MIU IV for more than 15 years.
She was recognized as an educator who shows care, concern and skill in helping students with special needs gain acceptance in their schools and communities. She was nominated for this honor by her colleagues and students.
Goodrich provides intense training and professional development to educators including teachers, librarians, principals, superintendents, therapists and counselors.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County, a program of the Butler YMCA, received a $2,500 grant from Ellis Automotive of Butler and the Enterprise Holdings Foundation.
The grant will be used to support Big Brothers Big Sisters mission “To make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth and to assist them in becoming confident, competent and caring individuals by providing caring and committed volunteer mentors.”
