Neighbor arrested after fire
MCKEESPORT — Authorities say a neighbor was arrested after a fire that damaged a vacant home and an occupied structure next door.
Fire crews in Allegheny County were sent to the McKeesport blaze shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officials said no injuries were reported, but the flames caused damages estimated at $100,000.
Fire Marshal Alvin Henderson Jr. said the blaze was determined to have been incendiary in nature.
He said police “arrested a female neighbor who confessed to setting the fire.”
No charges were immediately announced and officials haven’t commented on the motive for the alleged action.
