George T. Barker

George T. Barker, 89, of Sarver passed away Tuesday at his home.

Born Feb. 14, 1926, in Tarentum, he was the son of the late Walter O. Barker Sr. and Margaret (Mozena) Barker.

George was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in a number of locations overseas. He was a self-employed boiler man. He was a Protestant. George enjoyed gardening, helping others and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his son, Wayne W. Barker of Sarver; his daughter, Elaine Danik of Gibsonia; two grandchildren, Nicholas Barker of Sarver and Emily Barker of Pittsburgh; and his sister, Margie A. Sourwine of Sarver.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Audine (Bargerstock) Barker; his second wife, Irma (Ghost) Barker; and his brothers, Walter O. Barker Jr. and James L. Barker.

BARKER — Friends of George T. Barker, who died April 14, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Stoops and the Rev. Jason Sinagra officiating.
