SRU sending 6 to national meet

SLIPPERY ROCK — Six Slippery Rock University athletes will be competing in the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships May 21-23 at Grand Valley State University in Michigan.

Kaitlyn Clark (pole vault), Courtney McQuaide (pole vault), Ashley West (high jump) and Sam Taylor (javelin) will represent the Rock women while Caleb Smithco (triple jump) and Jordan Pacheco (pole vault) will go on the men’s side.

Butler grad Allen in ECAC track meet

ERIE — Butler graduate Paige Allen, a member of the Penn State Behrend women’s track and field team, will compete in the 100 and 200 meters at the ECAC Outdoor Championships this weekend.

The event is being held at Princeton University in New Jersey.

Allen has posted times of 12.33 seconds and 25.54 seconds in the 100 and 200, respectively, and owns the school record for both events.
