Joseph L. West
Joseph L. West, 93, of Zelienople passed away Tuesday.
Born March 27, 1922, in Callery, he was the son of the late Joseph L. West and Sarah (Burris) Cashdollar.
Joe had a strong Christian faith and belonged to Grace Church of Harmony.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and participated in the Battle of Normandy.
He was a member of the Evans City Senior Center and was an avid walker and cyclist in his earlier years.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 71 years, Ruth L. (Greenawalt) West of Zelienople; his loving daughter, Beverly (Jay) Leasher of Wexford; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Janice McKeever of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two sisters, two daughters, one son, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J. Everett officiating.
