QUESTION: Why are you running for office?
BASH: I live in Center Township and I am proud of our great neighborhoods, schools, and all it offers. I am running for Center Township Supervisor because of concerns about issues facing our township. Positive changes are needed for growth. I have experience as a project manager working with people in making smart decisions. And I know I can use my skills to make a positive difference in the township.
FLATT: Center Township has been a great place to live, and work, and raise a family. My goal is to work together with the board members to keep Center Township a great place to live, and to work, and especially, to raise a family.
QUESTION: What do you consider the pressing matters facing your municipality? How would you address them?
BASH: The Center Township office needs to be moved to the new maintenance building and the old office building needs to be sold. This consolidation has been discussed and tabled far too long. And a Capital Expense account needs to be added to the general budget to purchase and replace much needed tools and equipment for the maintenance department that is not appropriated from the Liquid Fuels Fund.
FLATT: Roadway safety and maintenance is a primary job of municipal government, so it is important to spend our money wisely on roads, and to do what we can to find money in our budget, without raising taxes, to keep our roads safe. There are several places in Center Township that the supervisors should help families that are affected by stormwater runoff by developing a plan such as was done on Hilltop Drive.
