Man killed in shooting near Pitt
PITTSBURGH — A shooting near the University of Pittsburgh has left one man dead and another wounded.
Pittsburgh police said the two men were shot around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday in Oakland where many Pitt and Carnegie Mellon students reside.
Police said they don’t believe the people involved in the shooting were students.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene in the 3200 block of Ward Street. The other was hospitalized at UPMC Presbyterian. Police didn’t release the names of the victims.
