Nicholas Hufnagel has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force after completing the Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program and graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

He is a 2011 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.

Air Force Airman Heather Stock graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Stock is the daughter of Peter Stock of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Bambi Stock of Cranberry Township. She graduated in 2010 from John Carroll Catholic High School, Fort Pierce, Fla., and she earned a bachelor’s degree in 2014 from Flagler College, St. Augustine, Fla.

Air Force Airman Ethan McCormick graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

McCormick is the son of Anne and Scott McCormick of Sarver. He is a 2013 graduate of Freeport High School.
