Butler Police
2:12 p.m. Tuesday — A traffic stop at East Brady and North McKean streets landed a Lawrence County woman in trouble after officers found suspected drugs in the trunk of her car.
Kim Switzer, 30, of New Castle is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Among the items seized from Switzer’s car were seven stamp bags of suspected heroin, five hypodermic needles and other drug contraband.
Tuesday — Police filed charges against three people after a March 21 warrant search of their home in the 300 block of State Street turned up drugs and other contraband. Police said they found 2.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine in the purse of one of the suspects, 37-year-old Leah Labryer.
Police charged Labryer with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
The two other suspects — Brent D. Kennard, 25; and Jaime J. Rivera, 22 — are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Butler Twp. Police
Tuesday — Justina J. Rivera, 28, of Farmingville, N.Y., was arrested for drugged driving outside the Get-Go store on Route 8 north.
Rivera was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail following arraignment.
12:07 p.m. Monday — A report of a car traveling recklessly at Butler High School ended with police charging two young Butler men. Levi J. Bartolicious, 20, was cited for reckless driving and careless driving.
Dustin D. McCune, 20, of Butler, a passenger in Bartolicious’ car, was cited for trespass. Police noted that McCune was previously warned to stay away from the school.
1 a.m. Monday — Five people face charges stemming from a bar fight that left one brawler with a broken nose. Police said the fight at Looney Tunes started after a disagreement over the bar’s jukebox.
Steven Selfridge, 26, of Butler, who delivered the damaging punch, is charged with simple assault.
Cited for disorderly conduct are Cory Williams, 29, Cassie A. Williams, 51, Brian Kennedy, 43, all of Butler, and Alan L. Sade, 26, of Conway, Beaver County.
State Police, Butler
Monday — Police charged Michael Paul Cochran, 50, of Butler with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 21 on Route 422 near the Route 8 exit in Butler Township. Cochran is charged with driving under the influence.
4:57 a.m. March 26 — A vehicle found abandoned in the center median on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township turned out to be stolen from Cheswick, Allegheny County. Police said they later arrested two youths who had been driving the stolen vehicle.
The suspects, who police did not identify, face receiving stolen property and other charges.
12:30 a.m. March 17 — Lindsay Maples, 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs on Route 8 just south of Route 138 in Clay Township.
State Police, Clarion
8:17 a.m. Wednesday — Zachary T. Best, 20, of Parker lost control of his car and traveled into a ditch on South Reidsburg Road in Monroe Township. Best managed to get the car back onto the road but its rear driver’s side tire came off. The vehicle ended up wrecked in the middle of the road.
Police cited Best for disregarding traffic lanes.
