Charles Henry 'Chuck' Hall

Charles Henry “Chuck” Hall, 75, of Portersville, Lawrence County, passed away at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday at the home of his brother-in-law in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.

He was born on July 29, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, to the late William Hall and Mary Hall.

Charles retired from CSX Railroad, where he worked as switchman.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Chuck enjoyed dancing and was an Arthur Murray dance instructor in Pittsburgh. He was a certified massage therapist.

Survivors include his three daughters, Laura Harris of Pittsburgh, Corynne Schnaars of New Castle and Ann Schnaars of Portersville; his three sons, Jesse Hall of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., Elijah Hall of Boca Raton, Fla., and Ian Hall of Atlanta, Ga.; his brother, William Hall Jr.; his sister, Helen Ofsonka; his granddaughter, Brittany Harris; his grandson, Tristyn Nelson, and his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four sisters, Alice Meyer, Isabelle Scherer, Dorothy Ofsonka, and Kathleen Synan, and his three brothers, John Hall, Thomas Hall and James Hall.

Hall — A memorial service for Charles Henry “Chuck” Hall, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, will be observed in July of this year.There will be no visitation or viewing at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home, Slippery Rock.
