Butler Twp. Police
8:39 p.m. Saturday — Wanda Dumot, 50, of Freeport was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped at a red light on Saxonburg Road at Freeport Road.
The other driver, Ross Robinson, 54, of New Castle, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
11:28 a.m. Saturday — A Lyndora teenager was caught with suspected marijuana and drug contraband after a traffic stop Route 8. Police charged 18-year-old Georden R.E. Powell with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Feb. 10 — A 15-year-old student was caught with a razor blade at the Butler Intermediate School. The student, a 15-year-old boy, is charged with possessing a weapon on school property.
State Police, Kittanning
10 a.m. Sunday — Emily Culp, 21, of Ford City was caught allegedly shoplifting merchandise at the Walmart at Hilltop Plaza in East Franklin Township. Culp is charged with retail theft.
1:49 a.m. Sunday — James E. Woodside, 28, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving after leading police on a chase aboard an all-terrain vehicle in Manor Township.
Police said the chase started when troopers came upon Woodside’s Polaris side-by-side ATV on Scenic Drive near Route 422. The chase ended when the ATV got stuck in deep snow behind Faith Cathedral on Rau Drive.
In addition to driving under the influence, Woodside faces charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, resisting arrest and multiple traffic violation. His passenger, Jeno T. Zanetti, 37, of Ford City, faces charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
12:05 p.m. Thursday — Dina Nicole Flint, 27, of Butler was caught with suspected drug contraband while on her way to the Armstrong County Jail. Police earlier took custody of Flint at the Butler County Prison, where she was being held on an unrelated drug charge, and were taking her to the Armstrong jail when they found the contraband in her purse.
Flint faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Noon Thursday — Christopher A. Palko, 27, of Sarver lost control of his car and crashed on snow-covered Pony Farm Road in North Buffalo Township. Palko’s car crossed the road and hit a mailbox before rolling onto its roof and ending in a stream.
Palko, who was not hurt, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
