KSAC extends hoop honors

David Olszak, a senior guard on the Karns City boys basketball team, and Union senior guard Cole Morris have both been named to the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference First Team.

Moniteau senior forward James Bair was named to the third team.

R.J. Laugand of Clarion-Limestone was named KSAC boys MVP.

LeeAnn Gibson, a junior forward on the Karns City girls basketball team, earned a spot on the KSAC First Team.

Her teammate, senior guard Shanel Preston, earned second-team honors and Gremlins’ senior point guard Annie Hegedus was named to the third team.

Moniteau snagged two second-team selections in sophomore forward Kristina DeMatteis and senior guard/forward Stephanie McCall.

Union sophomore guard Lexey Shick was also named to the second team.

A-C Valley had two third-team selections in senior point guard Erin Logue and junior forward Morgan Cratty.

Clarion’s Maci Thornton was the KSAC girls MVP.
