Loving Chocolate 2nd annual event set Saturday in Cranberry
CRANBERRY TWP — The second annual Celebration of Chocolate event on Saturday will present chocolate-themed items and demonstrations about one of America’s favorite confections.
The daylong event at the Regional Learning Alliance will feature chocolate vendors, hourly chocolate demonstrations by area confectioners and chefs, children’s activities, a chocolate fountain, appearances by Willy Wonka and a Golden Ticket raffle.
Nearly 2,000 people attended last year’s inaugural event.
New this year, students from Keystone State Music Theater will perform at 11:30 a.m. Children ages 5 to 7 will sing “Candy Man” from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” and children ages 8 to 12 will perform “Hot Chocolate” from “The Polar Express.”
Ms. Pennsylvania America 2015 Rena Mcquaig will visit from noon to 2 p.m.
Celebration of Chocolate will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and younger. Adults can save $1 on a ticket by bringing a nonperishable food item that will be donated to Gleaner’s Food Bank.
