• Black History Month events include lectures, poetry and dance. Herman Boone, the high school football coach whose life was memorialized in the film “Remember the Titans,” will lecture at 8 p.m. today in the Smith Student Center.

• The SGA Movie Series presents “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” at 4 and 8 p.m. Feb. 20 and 22 and 4 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Smith Student Center Theater.

• The Chinese New Year celebration will include food, calligraphy and the debut performance of Chinese traditional music by “Four Rivers Chinese Ensemble” from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Russell Wright Alumni House and Conference Center.
